  1. The 12-6 elbow is most likely to be legalized soon according to Rogan. He said the rule was based on the fact that people break bricks during demonstrations with 12-6 elbows but realistically and elbow throw from the side does way more damage because you generate a lot more force if thrown from the shoulders. It’s one of those early regulations that never got changed

  2. Wow is that wrong Oo

In most western countries it's indeed not illegal to have a street fight

As long as both parties agree on not pressing charges on the respective other, even if cops show up and break up the fight, nothing will actually come from it

So taking part in a MMA competition is prettym uch as far as one can be away from a legal street fight xD

  3. 1:30 I remember watching that live. It is ALWAYS the failure of that ref. There is a Lua dry list of bad call he has given. But that one had us all go "um… ref… you gonna call it?… no?!?!?"

  4. The guy at 4min didn't have a good day, imagine waking one day, going onto a ring in front of thousands of people, getting kicked in the nuts with huge power while everyone is laughing and then get celebrated as if you're the hero after snaking around the ring to ease the pain in your balls

  5. The Silva vs Okami incident is a clear case of the rules not accounting for every situation. While Okami's knees were on the ground, Silva was lying on his back and the intent was a teep kick that would allow him to escape. The knockout was a complete fluke and it was taken away due to having no protocol for the specific sequence of events.

  6. Not being able to knee or kick a downed opponent is the dumbest thing. So many rules in MMA. I understand eye gouging but anyone can just drop to both knees to avoid kicks to the face. It should be allowed because one should avoid being in that position in the first place. The ref can stop the fight after the kick and call it. This is bs.

  7. some of the comments say,it's up to the refs to stop the fight even when it's clearly over..that's insane. Say hypothetically a fighter goes down, the same moment the ref has a fatal heart attack, the other fighter keeps pummeling the downed guy for 3 hours because there's no ref? Giving all the onus to the ref to save your opponents life sounds like an excuse to inflict lethal damage with zero culpability.

  8. imagine having the nickname “The Honorable” only to be disqualified due to unsportmanlike conduct🤣🤣🤣
