8. He should fight Arman if he loses or Gamrot. Charles and Justin are contenders 1 and 2 if they win their fights, but even if they lose, a rematch doesn't make sense for either right now.

9. Sorry but st Denis needed this wake up call to switch up his style from going balls to the wall all out throwing caution the the wind thinking I'll just overpower and overwhelm everybody. That won't always work against the most skilled veterans. He need to learn to be more measured / cerebral and defensive minded as well as offensive. I was not surprised by this finish.

15. I felt very strongly, with both my heart and mind, that Dustin was gonna win this fight. And I was fckn pumped when he finished him the way he did! With that bein said, did anyone else see a slightly diminished version of DP, despite the sick ass KO? Cuz I’m finding myself coming away with that thought as 1of my major takeaways. He didn’t seem to be as ready to get in a firefight the 1st chance he gets like usual…nor did he seem quite like the guy were used to seeing, that’s always willing to go further and get nastier than the other guy. He was slower. He didn’t look for counters or throw back as much early on either. His output just wasn’t there. Hell even his haircut was different! And yeah..I get it, Saint Denis is a savage of the purest form. That notwithstanding, Dustin looked to be softer, not quite as lean/muscular. And he appeared to be tired after that 1st round to me too. Idc what he says. Why else was he moving like that? After rewatching it I notice he stumbles a couple times whilst evading and escape Benoit’s pressure. Even the way he sort of flopped to his corner after round 1 was different…not as sharp as I’m used to seein from him. It was def a crazy paced 1st rd. But so was rd 1 of his 3rd fight with Conor. And he was as fresh as a cucumber for rd 2 of that bout. And slightly sharper all around imo. He looked 80-90% of that form on Saturday..and still French fried Benoit! Idk..maybe I’m just afraid, f*ck more like terrified that we’ve seen the last of Poirier’s prime. I hope not, because he is one of, if not the single most exciting mixed martial artist there’s ever been..
